BOOMERS TO ZOOMERS

Boomers to Zoomers is a mini-series which attempts to represent the differences and similarities between the older and younger generation, highlighting the generation gap that needs to be debunked.

 
 

Created by Mary Livesey, Stephen Hak, Ji Hoon Kim who are all media and communications graduates. They specialise in Digital video content and have a particular interest in multimedia projects combining film and animation.

Mary is based in London, working part time at Peckhamplex cinema and looking for a future in film production.

Ji Hoon is preparing to do a master course at King’s College, University of London. He is looking for a future career in advertising and marketing industries.

Stephen, currently working in the healthcare industry. He aspires to combine his degree knowledge to improve online digital and practical medical platforms.

The motif behind Falling Apples is to showcase the reality of being a first generation and the eldest child; the pressures and hardships that those in this position face trying to find themselves, as well as meeting their parent’s expectations.

 
 

Chelsea Jones-Alleyne is a twenty-two-year-old with a love for factual-documentary. She has always felt compelled to create visual pieces all throughout my childhood, so much so that it has now become an aspiration of hers to pursue as a profession. Chelsea takes much of her inspiration from her own personal experiences, focusing on the deeper truths of humanity.

Recently graduating from Goldsmiths University of London (specialising in Media and Communications), she aspires to continue to make short films and documentaries in the future, and to gain further experience in the film industry.

Skins; A filmed aimed at spreading the message that fashion doesn’t mean carrying real fur or leather. Even vegan products are fashionable and trendy.

 
 

Ridwan Amode was a participant in an Anti-fur campaign project for his final year project. Currently interested in movies and the field of work he wants to pursue is production.

Leon Jung-Kweon Kim is really interested in creating digital content for the web hoping to pursue this in the future. He also enjoys and has a passion for cinema.

Samya Bachani has always had a keen interest in fashion, glamour and keeping up with trends. Combining her passion with practice and theory came the idea of Skins.

The film investigate how helpful art and dance movement therapy is when it comes to going through overwhelmed emotions. The message is ' if you are struggling or feeling something that overwhelms you, you can turn it into something creative.'

 
 

Xiwei Du is an undergraduate student in goldsmiths. She is passionate about short film-making, video-editing, art and fashion and planning to do a digital media master course in London. To work in the media industry has always been her goal.

Katya is a Goldsmiths graduate from Kazakhstan. She is passionate about directing, making digital video content, psychology, fashion, and art. She is planning to keep making creative content and working as an independent filmmaker in the future.


Fragments is a short series in documentary-style diving into the lives of three different women working within the creative industry, painting their challenges and personal struggles to find their own voice.

 
 

Project created by Alice Fontaine, Soobin Hong and Queenie (Yinuo Zhao) who are Media and Communications graduates from Goldsmiths University of London. Specialising in Digital Video for the Web, they have a particular interest in empowering young women to pursue a career and to understand the expectations and reality of the creative industries.

Soobin is based in Seoul, South Korea and is aspiring to find a career in film production. She strongly desires to be a sensible creator who can support social minorities.

Alice is based in London and is aspiring to use her creative heart and understanding of communications to create films drawn from personal stories. She is also interested in a career in film production.

Queenie is originally from Shanghai, China and is interested in cross-cultural events as well as writing to apply to the narrations of her films.
